French Couture by DELPHINE GENIN
Presented in partnership with the Alliance Française de Melbourne, the new collection by French Couture designer, Delphine Genin, will be exhibited at Eildon Mansion’s heritage gallery space in an intimate showcase of fine French craftsmanship and delicate embroidery.
Having trained at the most prestigious Parisian embroidery atelier in the world, L’École Lesage (a subsidiary of Chanel), Delphine respects the tradition of les Metiers d’Art.
Her designs incorporate work from distinguished and recondite artisans in haute couture who specialise in delicate embellishments and whose craft has been passed down through the generations for almost 160 years.
Held in the magnificent heritage building of the Alliance Française de Melbourne, this exhibition will present Delphine Genin’s new collection of gowns, as well as a display of imagery and tools, allowing visitors to discover the design process, embroidery techniques, and the savoir-faire of French couture.
The official opening night, in the presence of Delphine Genin, will take place on Friday the 6th of March at 6:00pm. Booking is essential.
RSVP is not required to visit the exhibition after launch.
This event is owned and operated by DELPHINE GENIN, and proudly promoted by Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival as part of the Independent Program. Please contact the organiser directly for further information.
