We're bringing together the movers, shakers and trailblazers of the fashion industry and uniting them with you, the big thinkers, entrepreneurs and people who are shaping the wider world. If you don’t know them already, prepare to be inspired by the following phenomenal individuals making waves in the industry.

1. Wen Zhou
CEO & Co-Founder of 3.1 Phillip Lim

Wen Zhou grew up in the small town of Ningbo China. In 1985, she and her family moved to Chinatown, New York City – Wen was just 12 years old and did not speak English. Years later Wen enrolled in marketing and business classes at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology. After landing her first full-time position cutting swatches for a textile manufacturer, she was promoted to sales. At 21 years old, she began the first of her entrepreneurial pursuits with a business selling fabric. At 26 years old, she founded her second business, an offshore clothing production company, which further cemented her business acumen in the garment industry.

Through a fateful and fashionable meeting in Paris, Lim and Wen became friends. When Lim was ready to move on from Development, his first line, it took less than a heartbeat for Wen to seize the opportunity. In the Fall of 2005, Wen and Phillip launched 3.1 Phillip Lim, they were both 31at the time.
The company’s vision of designer product at a contemporary price point opened up a once dormant market. As President and CEO of 3.1 Phillip Lim, Wen has grown the business into a global fashion brand with womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and eyewear. She oversees over 100 employees and is one of the most respected leaders in the business.

Committed to the protection and development of the global artisan community, Wen is also proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Nest organization.

2. Jarrad Serafine-Clark
Partner / Director Creative Services KCD INC

Jarrad has been involved in the fashion industry since 1993 working backstage at fashion shows. At 23 he produced the inaugural Australian Fashion Week and continued to do so for the next decade before joining PBL as Creative Director of Events at an important time when the marriage of event content and the immediacy of the media started evolving. This lead to stints in front of the camera as host and judge of the original reality model discovery show ‘Search for a Supermodel’ and later on ‘Project Runway Australia’.

In 2007, he returned to AFW under its new ownership, IMG Fashion at a time when the globalization of the fashion week experience was going beyond the traditional fashion capitals. As Global Creative Director, he established platforms focused on culturally conscious formats to enhance the traditional industry needs, yet challenging the status quo by expanding participation of consumers as their appetite became relentless as the fashiontainment experience was emerging with the amplification of social media breaking down the velvet rope.

In 2014 Jarrad joined KCD as Partner and Director of Creative Services, proudly challenging himself and his teams in NY, Paris and London to make the impossible possible for the world’s leading brands. He has produced events for 26 years across the globe including Australia, Tokyo, Berlin, Zurich, Istanbul, Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, Milan, London, Rio, Toronto, and New York where he now lives with his husband Jarrod.

3. Fanny Moizant
Co-Founder, APAC VP, Director of Communications, Vestaire Collective

Born and raised in France, Fanny spent her formative years in the fashion boutiques of her mother, learning the ins and outs of both style and business. In 2001, Fanny graduated with a degree in marketing from the Reims Business School and in 2007 completed a degree in fashion marketing at the Institut de la Mode in Paris.

After having her two daughters, Fanny was inspired to start her own company, after observing French fashion bloggers selling their out-of-season designer clothing, to reinvest in new, fashionable items. Fanny quickly saw a need for a dedicated platform for fashion lovers to buy and sell their pre-owned items in a smart, inspirational and trusted way.

Fanny teamed up with five partners to launch Vestiaire Collective in France in 2009. At launch, they offered 3,000 items of second-hand merchandise collected from family and friends. Their first sale? One of Fanny’s own Gucci handbags, long coveted by a close friend.

After three years serving as the VP of Marketing, Moizant moved to London with her family and took on a new role of EMEA VP, in order to lead the company’s European expansion. Following the company’s success in securing its position as Europe’s leading resell site for desirable fashion, Moizant relocated to Hong Kong in 2017 to spearhead the company’s expansion into Asia Pacific.
