MAKEUP TRENDS BY RAE MORRIS

GOTHIC LIP

Take a trip to the dark side this fall with lips that tell a story that belongs to the underground. It can be as dark as black or merely a perfect plum, it can be paired with no other colours to the face or have incredibly nightmarish appeals. The Goth is in when it comes to the fall / winter 2016-2017 makeup trends and you can wear it as softly or as fanatically as you with.

DARK-LIP

POLISHED SKIN

Fresh, minimal and perfected skin with high sheen. Embracing a natural-looking glow, the trick to getting a no makeup be using everything sparingly.

FRESH-SKIN

EARTH INSPIRED

Earthy tones of brown, muted oranges and reds. The key is to play on natural features, letting freckles come through, slightly brushed up brows and dewy skin with finishing spray or cremes.

EARTH

GRAPHIC BLACK EYES

Thick black liners with the winged ends and rather intriguing finishing, clean and sharp edges. And then there are those revelling in the smudged look that has made its way into the fall / winter 2016-2017 makeup trends.

CRIMPED HAIR

The return of the crimp. Adding a touch of fun to any style, crimping has made a comeback on the Fall/Winter runway. Whether all-over or on loose strands, this look transports us back to the 1980s.

TWENTIES-STYLE WAVES

Retro vibes were hanging in the air at Fashion Week, with a super-slicked Twenties-style at Marc Jacobs and Fillies-inspired elegant waves at Gucci.

THE LOW PONYTAIL

This season, the 'less is more' mantra ruled the runway with low ponytails simply held in place by a black hair tie, for a youthful elegant look.

THE FRINGE

The fringe made its runway comeback this season, harking back to Seventies hairstyles. In this ease, half-measures are not allowed: the fringe is returning both in mini and XL form.

We're thrilled to have Priceline Pharmacy joining the Festival for the third year as the Official Hair & Beauty Partner. You can see the latest runway looks from Rae Morris and Kenneth Stoddart at all Premium Runways from March 14-19.
