We chat with the woman behind these elegant and a-list-worthy designs, CEO and Creative Director Michelle Aznavorian. Michelle started her first eBay business at age 19. She has since launched and grown Misha Collection into a much-loved brand for confident, ambitious women – and she’s only 27. I’m Michelle Aznavorian – CEO and Creative Director of Misha Collection.
Share one piece of advice that has been a game changer for you in life or in business?
Learning to embrace change has been a pivotal part of Misha Collection – past and present. Even when it isn’t something you had planned for, it’s important to embrace change in order to evolve as a business.
If you could travel to one destination for inspiration, where would it be, and why?
I’d travel around Italy because a lot of my inspiration for Misha Collection comes from European culture. I’m inspired by the European lifestyle, the landscape and the luxurious destinations throughout Italy. I also come from an Italian background so I’ve always been inspired by my heritage.
What is your in flight travel essential?
A good pair of headphones. Beats by Dre are my favourite.
Fashion is always evolving, how do you stay on top of trends in your industry?
Social media plays a big part for me. It’s a great way to stay on top of what’s happening in the fashion industry. From bloggers and influencers to designer runways, social media is a great way to follow what’s happening, as it happens.
What personal traits do you think are essential to 'change the game'?
Having a strong attention to detail and maintaining consistency in everything you do.
Share something exciting on the horizon?
Over the next 12 months, I’m really excited for Misha Collection to continue evolving as an internationally recognised brand. Our involvement in VAMFF and events worldwide is something we’re always working on. I’m also excited to be working on some new product categories for Misha Collection, so watch this space.
