Twice Blessed takeover for Style Capital Guide

This Saturday, Melbourne's influential fashion stores, Shifting Worlds, Cose Ipanema, and Christine, launch their in-store activations and events to kick off the Festival's 2016 Style Capital Guide.

From 13 February to 13 March, explore curated combinations of exciting retail environments, elegant boutiques and major department stores, that are crucial in cementing Melbourne as one of the most influential Style Capitals of the world.

Retail and style gurus, Twice Blessed, have taken over INDETAIL* (below) to tell us why they love the rejuvenated Style Capital Guide and their top picks of the program.

When it comes to finding great fashion stores in Melbourne, it can be hard to know where to turn;big department stores, shopping centres, or boutique street shopping? In our opinion, the best places to shop up a storm in Melbourne (whether you’re a local or a visitor) is to turn to stores which supply quality products, rather than fast fashion. Below, we’ve highlighted some of our favourite labels & stores from the Festival's Style Capital Guide where you can purchase products which encompass style and quality.

OnceWas
Since moving past previously known ‘SpencerLacy’ and into the new era of OnceWas; designer Belinda Glynn has cultivated a strong visual aesthetic within her label. OnceWas, will host a meet and greet brunch with the labels creative director Belinda Glynn and owner Emma O’Connor on 5 March for the Festival's Style Capital Guide. Customers will receive an indulgent brunch, a special discount, complimentary nail art and a gift bag.

Kit & Ace
‘Changing the game of Cashmere’ is a phrase we associate closely with the new kid-on-the-block, Kit & Ace. With only being around in the land down under for a short time now, Kit & Ace have fit in perfectly with our Aussie way of life. Cashmere, is generally associated with colder climates (as it provides great warmth and insulation), however, with their new ‘technical’ approach to the production and use of cashmere, Kit & Ace have been able to create wearable pieces that suit the Australian climate. A match made in Cashmere heaven!

Kit & Ace will host personalised in-store styling sessions from 7 to 13 March for the Festival's Style Capital Guide.
