#VAMFFXX – You are invited. Celebrate the 20th Festival

Today, during an intimate Media Briefing at the beautiful Treetops at Melbourne Museum, Laura Anderson, Festival Chair, and Graeme Lewsey, Festival CEO, alongside Martin Foley (MP), Minister of Creative Industries, officially launched celebrations of the forthcoming 20th Festival.

Not only is 2016 a special celebratory milestone year for Festival fans of the past and present, but the occasion is also a catalyst to unveil one of the most creatively-charged, public programs the Festival has ever unleashed.

During the core program from Monday 7 March to Sunday 13 March 2016 and the Festival's Cultural Program commencing from Sunday 13 February 2016, the 20th Festival is expected to host nearly 400,000 guests from all parts of the globe at Festival-produced and aligned world-class events that stage the latest in innovative Australian and international fashion and creative design.

More than one hundred established and emerging fashion designers including STRATEAS.CARLUCCI, Scanlan Theodore, Dion Lee, Yeojin Bae, Thurley, and Bec & Bridge will take to the Festival’s coveted runways at its new hub, the iconic Melbourne Museum Precinct.

The 2016 Business Events Program will be presented in a re-invigorated schedule and format hosted at world-class venue Crown, designed for convenience and to allow for enhanced networking opportunities between influential industry guests and speakers, including the legendary fashion entrepreneur Renzo Rosso, President of OTB group and Founder of Diesel.

As a nod to those who have contributed to the event's history, the Festival has curated a retrospective photo collage and "flashback" short film entitled #VAMFFXX that will feature across the Festival's owned digital platforms leading into March.
