One of Australia’s most respected digital publishers, Alison leads editorial, video, brand extensions, audience development and partnerships across global and award-winning women’s websites – POPSUGAR, Who What Wear, Byrdie and MyDomaine.
An experienced moderator, Alison regularly hosts esteemed guests both on panels and in conversation, discussing digital and brand strategy, how to aggregate and foster communities of engaged women, and the importance of investing in truthful, quality content that inspires women to action.
Joining POPSUGAR in 2012, Alison has gone on to double the brand’s audience, launched six new channels in six years, developed robust and long-term audience strategies across the brand’s platforms and pioneered immersive storytelling experiences for the 1.2 million women that engage with POPSUGAR each month.
In 2015, Alison took on the role of Group Publisher Women’s Lifestyle, successfully launching LA’s Who What Wear, Byrdie and MyDomaine into the Australian market. This project won her and the team Launch/Relaunch of the Year in the Publish Awards, and continues to pioneer the way women consume content and contextual commerce in Australia.
An award-winning leader, Alison has been a finalist in the B&T Women in Media Awards for the last three years, and won in the category of Emerging Leader at Fairfax’s Women of Influence Awards. Her strategic excellence has seen her brands nominated multiple times for awards including Website of the Year and Best E-Commerce Strategy. She has also twice been a finalist in the category of Executive of the Year in the Publish Awards.
