Christina Dean is a sustainable fashion advocate who founded Redress in Hong Kong in 2007, the NGO with a mission to reduce waste in the fashion industry. Redress is widely recognised as being a major influencer in driving awareness and action around sustainable fashion globally and are the organisers of the world’s largest sustainable fashion design competition, The Redress Design Award.
In 2017, she co-founded the award-winning social impact up-cycled fashion brand, The R Collective, which collaborates with emerging designers using waste materials, and which debuted in Barneys New York and Lane Crawford.
Christina is a regular speaker at seminars and contributes opinion pieces to a wide range of global publications. She co-authored Dress [with] Sense, the consumer guide to a conscious closet, and hosted Redress’ TV documentary series, Frontline Fashion I and II.
Christina has received numerous recognitions for her work, including by UK Vogue for being one of the UK’s ‘Top 30 Inspirational Women’. She is married with 4 children and divides her time between Hong Kong and London.
